1. Summary of temperature adjectives

	Felt by the whole body	Felt by a part of the body
Hot	暑（あつ）い 暑い部屋	熱（あつ）い 熱いスープ／風
Warm	暖（あたた）かい(nice and warm) 暖かい部屋；暖かいスープ ／風
		ぬるい(not hot enough; not too cold) ぬるいスープ ／風
Cool	涼（すず）しい(nice and cool) 涼しい部屋
Cold	寒（さむ）い 寒い部屋	冷（つめ）たい 冷たいスープ／風

2. Connotations of adjectives.

　涼しい(nice and cool)　⇔　暖かい(nice and warm)

　ぬるい(not hot enough; not too cold)

3. Verbs about temprature change

		Intransitive	Transitive
Temperative verbs	Warm ←Cool/Cold	スープが 暖（あたた）まる	スープを 暖（あたた）める
	Normally cool ←Overheated	スープが 冷（さ）める	スープを 冷（さ）ます
